WeType treats the security of your data very seriously. All communication between your device and the WeType server is conducted through secure channels, using latest industry standard security protocols. It is not possible to connect to the WeType server using a non-secure connection (such a connection will be either rejected or automatically redirected to secure one). The voice files and completed documents are encrypted during transfer.

WeType accepts dictations sent via two main channels:

  • our web based control panel, DictationMaster
  • our mobile application, VoiceMaster

It is also possible to send your dictations using email.

For enterprise clients or those having special needs, we offer advanced secure FTP access or REST API. Please contact our technical support for more details.

WeType offers support for both Apple and Android devices with its unique integrated mobile application, VoiceMaster. With the app you can easily:

  • record your dictation
  • submit your dictation to WeType
  • view the status of your dictation and get notified when it is complete

The app can be downloaded freely from Apple and Google app stores. Please use the links below to get the app for your operating system:

Yes, VoiceMaster is completely free of charge for our clients.

Yes. While sending the dictation over the network is already secured by standard HTTPS protocol, you can easily arrange for extra level of encryption.

WeType VoiceMaster mobile app implements AES encryption standard. To turn on this extra encryption, you have to login to your DictationMaster account, go to Settings->Security and set your encryption passphrase there. VoiceMaster automatically detects the passphrase is set up and turns on its encryption engine.

For more information contact our technical support.

Yes you can, although for security reasons we do not recommend it. For maximum security please use our VoiceMaster mobile application or use the web-based DictationMaster. If you are sure you'd like to use email, please read on.

Each client is assigned a unique e-mail address to which dictations can be sent. This address is constructed as [email protected]. For example, if your WeType user name is john, your unique email address will be [email protected].

Once you finish dictating and have saved your voice file, compose a new email message, attach your dictation to it and send to your WeType address. You will get an email confirmation of receipt. If you don’t, we didn’t get it!

For added security we advise you to setup encryption of voice files which are sent as email attachments. For more information contact your Head of Department.

You will receive an email with confirmation of dictation receipt. This can also be copied into another email address if required. The dictation will be visible in your client panel.

If you are using our mobile app, VoiceMaster, the dictation will be marked with yellow document icon.

You will receive an email notification when your transcription is ready to collect. If you don't get an email notification from WeType, check your spam folder or contact your Account Manager.

If you are using our mobile app, VoiceMaster, the dictation will be marked with green document icon.
